Raza Jafar to participate in Forbes Global CEO Conference PDF Print E-mail
Raza Jafar, CEO of Enshaa, Member of the Global Philanthropists Circle and Synergos Board of Directors, will be attending the prestigious Forbes Global CEO Conference taking place in Sydney, Australia, on 28 and 29 September 2010.

During the conference − themed Full Sail Ahead, and likening today's business leaders to a master mariners whose challenge is to outwit the forces of uncertain economic conditions, and whose determination is to capture new growth prospects through the power of innovation to create a prosperous and sustainable future − Jafar will be participating in a panel discussion on social responsibility and philanthropy during times of financial crisis.

The session, entitled Wind of change across social responsibility and philanthropy, will look at how many altruists, including volunteers, donors, entrepreneurs, foundations and corporations upheld their commitments to philanthropy and social responsibility despite the global financial crisis.

Says, Jafar:

"The Forbes Global CEO Conference presents the perfect platform for some of the world's most influential industry and thought leaders to share their insights on the best strategies to navigate the post-crisis economic landscape and seize new opportunities. I am delighted to not only be attending, but also to be taking part alongside some of the captains of industry, and I am looking forward to exchanging fresh ideas on the way forward for business worldwide."

Now in its tenth year, the Forbes Global CEO Conference, hosted by the New South Wales Government and Australian Federal Government, will be attended by more than 400 CEOs, tycoons, entrepreneurs, capitalists and thought leaders from around the globe.

Topics that will come under the spotlight during the two day gathering include Creative destruction: thriving on adversity (looking at how recessions provide as many opportunities for businesses as they spell disasters); China: beacon for global growth (investigating China's role in global recovery); On the radar: a green economy (discussing solutions to save our planet from greenhouse emissions, climate change and other threats); and Master and commander: the currency of leadership (talking about how the most powerful men and women in today's global economy define power).
